TPJF JAZZ ONLINE COMPETITION 2021 is the first jazz band competition held by TPJF this year which will be held virtually.

Jazz musicians from ANYWHERE in the world can showcase their talent and having the opportunity to develop their existence in the jazz industry through their own style and creativity simply by submitting videos online.

This competition is open to public bands without age restrictions and is welcome for any nationalities
One group consists of a maximum of 9(nine) persons and each participant are not allowed to concurrently or play in 2 or more different groups.

Competition Stages

Stage 1

Applicants who meet the requirements will be processed by the committee and will receive a confirmation email with a link to login and upload 1 video performance performing the compulsory song "Cantaloupe Island" by Herbie Hancock, with the following conditions:
- The music must be arranged in jazz with creativity and imagination as freely as possible without losing the original melody.
- Maximum video duration is no longer than 5 (five) minutes
The committee will reupload the video of the participants to Youtube @Indonesia Media to be a benchmark for judging the favorite winner (based on Likes)
Get a chance to be the Favorite Winner by uploading a participation video on social media (Instagram and Facebook) to invite followers to like videos that have been uploaded on Youtube @Indonesia Media. Use hashtags ##JazzEnjoyit, #tpjf2021 #TPJazzonlinecompetition2021, and mention @thepapandayan and @idm.indonesiamedia.
In this stage, 10 best bands will be selected to proceed to the Semifinals.
Selection is based on the judgment of the panel judges, and the decision of the Judges is final and cannot be contested
The video submission deadline for the first stage is October 11 2021
